Zestoretic Precautions and Warnings

Before starting Zestoretic, precautions and warnings to be aware of with the drug include such things as the increased risk of allergic reactions associated with the medication. People who have severe kidney disease should not take Zestoretic. Other precautions and warnings for Zestoretic users concern the medicine's potential impact on one's ability to drive a car or operate heavy machinery.

Zestoretic: What Should I Tell My Healthcare Provider?

Before you start taking
 Zestoretic® (lisinopril-hydrochlorothiazide), let your healthcare provider know if you have:
 
Also, let your healthcare provider know if you:
 
  • Are pregnant or trying to become pregnant (see Zestoretic and Pregnancy)
  • Are breastfeeding
  • Are on dialysis
  • Drink alcohol regularly
  • Will be undergoing surgery or anesthesia.
     
Tell your healthcare provider about all other medicines you may be taking, including prescription and non-prescription medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements.
