Visken Interactions

When Visken is combined with certain other medications, interactions may occur that could lead to serious problems. Some of the medicines that may cause an interaction include digoxin, alpha blockers, thioridazine, and NSAIDs. Drug interactions with Visken can increase your risk of developing extremely low blood pressure, dangerously slow heart rate, heart failure, strokes, and other serious problems.

An Overview of Visken Interactions

 Visken® (pindolol) can potentially interact with several other medications. Some of these medicines that may lead to interactions with Visken include:
 
  • Alpha blockers (or medications with alpha-blocking activity), including:

 

 

 

 

  • Certain arrhythmia medications, including:

 

    • Amiodarone (Cordarone®)
    • Disopyramide (Norpace®, Norpace CR®)
    • Lidocaine (Xylocaine®)
    • Propafenone (Rythmol®)
    • Quinidine
    • Sotalol (Betapace®)
