Who Should Not Take Verelan?
You should not take
Verelan if you:
- Are allergic to Verelan, verapamil hydrochloride, or any of the inactive components used to make Verelan. Your healthcare provider or pharmacist has a list of the inactive ingredients used to make Verelan.
- Have severe left ventricular dysfunction (the left side of your heart is weak or damaged).
- Have sick sinus syndrome and do not have a pacemaker.
- Have third- or second-degree heart block and do not have a pacemaker.
- Have low blood pressure (hypotension), with your systolic blood pressure less than 90 mmHg.
- Have Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome or Lown-Ganong-Levine syndrome.
- Are having a heart attack and have fluid in your lungs.
