Action of Univasc

If you are an adult with
high blood pressure, your healthcare provider may recommend Univasc® (moexipril hydrochloride). This medication comes in the form of a tablet and is generally taken once or twice daily.

To bring your blood pressure under control, Univasc targets an enzyme within the body known as angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE). It blocks the activity of ACE; through this action, Univasc relaxes the blood vessels, which results in lower blood pressure.
