Tribenzor Side Effects

Some of the possible reactions to Tribenzor include dizziness, swelling, and headaches. In most cases, people can take this medication without any problems. However, contact your healthcare provider if you develop serious side effects while taking Tribenzor, such as chest pain, decreased urine production, or difficulty breathing. Even if the reaction is unrelated to the medication, your healthcare provider can help diagnose and treat the problem.

An Introduction to Tribenzor Side Effects

As with any medicine, Tribenzor™ (olmesartan medoxomil/amlodipine/hydrochlorothiazide) can cause side effects. However, not everyone who takes the medication will have problems. In fact, most people tolerate it quite well. If side effects do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or are treated easily by you or your healthcare provider.

Common Side Effects of Tribenzor

Tribenzor has been studied extensively in clinical trials. In these studies, one group of people received Tribenzor, while other people were given two of the three components of Tribenzor (either olmesartan and amlodipine, olmesartan and hydrochlorothiazide, or amlodipine and hydrochlorothiazide). As a result, it was possible to see what side effects occurred, how often they appeared, and how they compared to the other medications.

In clinical studies, the most common side effects of Tribenzor included:

  • Dizziness -- in up to 8.9 percent of people
  • Swelling, or edema, in the hands, ankles, or feet -- up to 7.7 percent
  • Headaches -- up to 6.4 percent
  • Tiredness -- up to 4.2 percent
  • Stuffy or runny nose and sore throat -- up to 3.5 percent
  • Muscle spasms or twitches -- up to 3.1 percent
  • Nausea -- up to 3.0 percent
  • Infection of the sinuses or upper respiratory tract, such as the common cold -- up to 2.8 percent
  • Diarrhea -- up to 2.6 percent
  • Urinary tract infection, such as a bladder infection -- up to 2.4 percent
  • Swelling in the joints -- up to 2.1 percent.
