Toprol Side Effects to Report

There are a number of possible side effects with Toprol that you should report immediately to your healthcare provider, including but not limited to:
 
  • Unexplained skin rash
  • Itching
  • Wheezing
  • Difficulty breathing or swallowing
  • Unexplained swelling or sudden weight gain (see Toprol and Weight Gain)
  • Chest pain
  • Dizziness, lightheadedness, or fainting spells
  • Cold, tingling, or numbness in the hands or feet
  • Confusion
  • An irregular heartbeat.
     

Rare Toprol Side Effects

There are other possible Toprol side effects that can occur. These rare side effects occur in less than 1 percent of people. Given how uncommonly they occur, however, it can be difficult to tell whether these side effects are actually caused by the medication or something else.
