What If I Take an Overdose of Thalitone?
People who take too much Thalitone may have overdose symptoms that could include:
- Nausea
- Weakness
- Dizziness
- Dehydration
- Low blood pressure (hypotension)
- Low electrolytes in the blood.
If you happen to overdose on Thalitone, seek immediate medical attention.
How Should Thalitone Be Stored?
Thalitone should be stored at room temperature, away from moisture and heat. The tablets should be kept in an airtight container.
Keep Thalitone and all other medications out of the reach of children.
What Should I Do If I Miss a Dose of Thalitone?
If you do not take your Thalitone as scheduled, take your missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next scheduled dose, skip the missed one and continue with normal dosing. Do not take a double dose.
Thalitone is available in only one strength -- Thalitone 15 mg tablets.
Technically, Thalitone is not equivalent to generic
chlorthalidone. Thalitone is formulated differently and is absorbed into the body better than generic chlorthalidone, essentially making Thalitone more potent (which is why it comes in a lower strength).
Currently, there is no generic Thalitone licensed for sale. However, generic chlorthalidone is available (which, as mentioned, is not equivalent to Thalitone).
