Tekturna Drug Interactions

Before taking any other medication with Tekturna, drug interactions that can occur should be reviewed with your healthcare provider. Tekturna can potentially interact with several medications, such as ACE inhibitors, potassium products, and cyclosporine. These Tekturna drug interactions can increase your risk of side effects, such as high potassium levels, or cause other complications.

 

Tekturna Drug Interactions: An Overview

 Tekturna® (aliskiren hemifumarate) can potentially interact with several different medications. Some of the medicines that may lead to Tekturna drug interactions include:
 
  • ACE inhibitors, such as:
 
 
 
 
 
    • Potassium chloride (K-Dur®, Klor-Con®, Micro-K®)
    • Potassium citrate (Urocit-K®, Polycitra-K®)
    • Potassium gluconate
    • Potassium phosphate (Neutra-Phos-K®, K-Phos®)
    • Salt substitutes (used to flavor food)
