Sular® (
nisoldipine) passes through breast milk. Because of the potentially serious side effects that could occur in the nursing infant, the manufacturer of Sular does not recommend using Sular while breastfeeding. Therefore, if you are breastfeeding or thinking of breastfeeding, make sure to let your healthcare provider know.
Sular and Breastfeeding: What Does the Research Say?
No research had been conducted on whether Sular passes through breast milk. Also, it is not known what effect Sular might have on a breastfeeding infant. In general, it is recommended to use an alternative medication that is not passed through breast milk (or appears in breast milk in very low amounts).
