Warnings and Precautions With Perindopril

Before starting any medication, it is important to be aware of the drug's warnings and precautions. With perindopril, possible side effects include angioedema, extreme low blood pressure, or decreased kidney function. People who are allergic to any components of perindopril or have hereditary or idiopathic angioedema should avoid the drug. If warnings and precautions with perindopril are a concern, your doctor may recommend a different drug or change your dosage.

  • Are pregnant or trying to become pregnant (see Aceon and Pregnancy)
  • Are breastfeeding
  • Are on dialysis
  • Will be undergoing surgery or anesthesia.
     
Tell your healthcare provider about all other medicines you are currently taking, including prescription and non-prescription medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements.
