Norvasc Tab

Norvasc® (
amlodipine besylate) is a treatment option for high blood pressure, certain types of chest pain, and coronary artery disease without heart failure. This drug comes in tablet form. "Norvasc tabs" are also sometimes recommended for treating other medical conditions (as an off-label use), such as cluster headaches, migraines, congestive heart failure, and Raynaud's syndrome.

Norvasc is a brand name drug that comes in several different strengths and has been approved for use in both adults and children (ages 6-17) for the treatment of high blood pressure.

Norvasc is part of a class of drugs called calcium channel blockers and is taken only once a day. The Norvasc tab helps to slow calcium movement into the heart and blood vessel walls, which relaxes the vessels, allows better blood flow, and lowers blood pressure.
