Norvasc® (
amlodipine besylate), alcohol does not interact negatively with this drug. This possible interaction was looked at during clinical studies with Norvasc. In these studies, people were given either single or multiple doses of Norvasc. In either case, the levels of alcohol in the body, along with how long it remained, did not change.
Although alcohol and Norvasc can probably be combined safely, it is always important to consult your healthcare provider. He or she is in the best position to give recommendations for your particular situation.
