Who Should Not Take Nifedipine?

You should not take nifedipine if you are:
 
  • Allergic to nifedipine, Procardia, or any inactive components used to make nifedipine. Your healthcare provider or pharmacist has a list of the inactive ingredients.

 

  • Taking rifampin, a medication that may make Adalat CC much less effective.
     
  • In cardiogenic shock (a state in which the heart is unable to supply enough blood to the rest of the body).
