Nifedipine Uses

Nifedipine uses are primarily concerned with the treatment of angina and high blood pressure. The drug comes in various forms and strengths, and not all forms are used for the same things. "Off-label" nifedipine uses include the treatment of migraine headaches, preterm labor, and hiccups. The drug has not been approved for use in children.

Nifedipine Uses: An Overview

 Nifedipine is a prescription medication used to treat certain types of chest pain (known medically as angina) and high blood pressure (known medically as hypertension).
 
There are many different versions of nifedipine, and not all versions are approved for all uses. Refer to the following table for equivalent versions of nifedipine products, along with their approved uses.
