Monopril-HCT Precautions and Warnings

Some Monopril-HCT precautions and warnings to be aware of relate to allergic reactions, drug interactions, and swelling of the head or neck. People who are allergic to ACE inhibitors should not take this drug, nor should people with severe kidney disease. Be sure to talk with your healthcare provider about the Monopril-HCT precautions and warnings that may apply to you.

 

Monopril-HCT: What Should I Tell My Healthcare Provider?

Prior to taking
 Monopril®-HCT (fosinopril sodium-hydrochlorothiazide), you should talk with your healthcare provider if you have:
 
Also, let your healthcare provider know if you:
 
  • Are pregnant or trying to become pregnant (see Monopril-HCT and Pregnancy)
  • Are breastfeeding
  • Are on dialysis
  • Drink alcohol regularly
  • Will be undergoing surgery or anesthesia.
     
Tell your healthcare provider about all the medicines you are currently taking, including prescription and non-prescription medicines, antacids, vitamins, and herbal supplements.
