Monopril®-HCT (fosinopril sodium-hydrochlorothiazide) is a prescription medication that has been licensed to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). Monopril-HCT is a combination of two medicines -- Monopril® and hydrochlorothiazide (HCT for short).
 
 
Monopril-HCT was originally developed by Bristol-Myers Squibb Company. It has since come off patent, making it available as a generic.
 

Generic Monopril-HCT -- Strengths

Generic Monopril-HCT is sold under the name Fosinopril Sodium-Hydrochlorothiazide tablets. It is also known as fosinopril-hydrochlorothiazide, fosinopril HCTZ, or fosinopril HCT. It is available in several strengths, including:
 
  • Fosinopril-hydrochlorothiazide 10 mg/12.5 mg -- which has 10 mg of fosinopril and 12.5 mg of hydrochlorothiazide
     
  • Fosinopril-hydrochlorothiazide 20 mg/12.5 mg -- which has 20 mg of fosinopril and 12.5 mg of hydrochlorothiazide.
