While most people tolerate Mavik well, there are some possible side effects with the drug. A few common Mavik side effects include dizziness, extremely low blood pressure, and heartburn or indigestion. Among the rare side effects of Mavik are a decreased sex drive, fatigue, constipation, and a spinning sensation (vertigo). There are also some serious side effects that you should report to your healthcare provider immediately, including unexplained swelling of the head or neck, wheezing, and difficulty breathing or swallowing.
Mavik Side Effects: An Overview
As with any medicine, there are possible side effects with Mavik® (trandolapril). However, not everyone who takes the medicine will experience side effects. In fact, most people tolerate Mavik well. When people do develop Mavik side effects, in many cases they are minor, meaning they either require no treatment or can easily be treated by you or your healthcare provider. Serious side effects can occur but are less common.
About 1.4 percent of people stop taking Mavik because of side effects.
