Several drugs can cause negative interactions with Twynsta, including lithium, calcium channel blockers, and other blood pressure medications. Some of these reactions can alter the amount of the medications in the blood, possibly making them less effective or increasing your risk for side effects. Before starting treatment with Twynsta, tell your healthcare provider about any other medications, herbs, or supplements you are taking.

An Overview of Interactions With Twynsta

Twynsta® (telmisartan/amlodipine) could potentially react with a number of other medications. Some of the drugs that may interact with Twynsta include but are not limited to:
 
 
  • Angiotensin II receptor blockers (ARBs), such as:

 

  
 
  
  • Other blood pressure medications
  • Potassium-containing products, such as:
     
    • Potassium chloride (K-Dur®, Klor-Con®, Micro-K®)
    • Potassium citrate (Urocit-K®, Polycitra-K®)
    • Potassium gluconate
    • Potassium phosphate (Neutra-Phos-K®, K-Phos®)
    • Salt substitutes (used to flavor food)
