Blood Pressure Home > Tribenzor Dosage
Before prescribing Tribenzor, your healthcare provider will consider several factors, such as your blood pressure readings and other medications you are taking. If you are already taking two of the components of Tribenzor with adequate blood pressure control, your initial dosage of Tribenzor will probably be a similar strength. The maximum dose of this product is 40/10/25 mg once daily.
An Introduction to Dosing With TribenzorThe dose of Tribenzor™ (olmesartan medoxomil/amlodipine/hydrochlorothiazide) your healthcare provider recommends will vary depending on a number of factors, including:
- Your blood pressure
- How you respond to the medication
- Other medications you are taking
- Other medical conditions you may have.
As is always the case, do not adjust your dosage unless your healthcare provider specifically tells you to do so.
Tribenzor Dosage for High Blood PressureTribenzor is a combination blood pressure medication. It contains three prescription products -- olmesartan (Benicar®), amlodipine (Norvasc®), and hydrochlorothiazide (sometimes referred to as HCTZ).
If you have already been taking the individual Tribenzor components as separate tablets, and your blood pressure is controlled, you will likely be started on a similar Tribenzor dosage. If your blood pressure is still high, your healthcare provider may choose to start you on a higher dose of one of the components.
If you have been taking two of the components of Tribenzor without adequate blood pressure control, your initial Tribenzor dosing will likely be a similar strength. If necessary, your healthcare provider may increase your dose after at least two weeks of treatment. The maximum recommended dosage is 40/10/25 mg.
Tribenzor is not approved for use as an initial medication in people who are not currently treated with medicine for high blood pressure, or people who are only taking one blood pressure medicine. It should only be used in those who are already taking at least two high blood pressure medications.
