Blood Pressure Home > Zestoretic Drug Info

Zestoretic® contains two active ingredients that work together to treat hypertension: Zestril® (lisinopril) and hydrochlorothiazide. Because of its combined effects, the drug causes a greater drop in blood pressure than when either medicine is used alone. This medication comes in tablet form and is taken once a day. Cough, dizziness, and headache are some of the most commonly reported side effects.
Because not everyone should use Zestoretic, the drug information for this product should be reviewed with your healthcare provider before beginning treatment. For example, your healthcare provider needs to know if you are pregnant or thinking of becoming pregnant. You should also provide a list of all medications and supplements you are taking.
