Blood Pressure Home > Exforge Tab -- Drug Information

Exforge® (amlodipine and valsartan) is a combination drug used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). This prescription product works by relaxing the blood vessels, which can help improve blood flow and lower blood pressure. Available in the form of tablets, Exforge is taken orally, typically once a day. Sore throat, dizziness, and water retention are some of the medication's common side effects.

Prior to beginning treatment with Exforge tablets, inform your healthcare provider about all other medical conditions you have and any other drugs you are taking. This medicine is not right for everyone, and your healthcare provider will need this information to make sure that this is the right blood pressure medication for you.
