Who Should Not Take Avalide?

You should not take Avalide if you are:

  • Allergic to sulfonamide-derived drugs (also referred to as sulfa drugs). This includes certain types of antibiotics, diabetes medicines, and diuretics.

  • Unable to urinate, which may happen in people with severe kidney disease or with kidney stones or tumors.

Final Thoughts

There are a number of situations in which this medication should not be used, along with several safety concerns people should be aware of before beginning treatment. However, it is possible that not all of these issues were discussed in this article.
