  • Are pregnant or trying to become pregnant (see Lotensin HCT and Pregnancy)
  • Are breastfeeding
  • Are on dialysis
  • Drink alcohol regularly
  • Will be undergoing surgery or anesthesia.
     
Tell your healthcare provider about all the medicines you are currently taking, including prescription and nonprescription medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements.
 
Do not take any potassium supplements or salt substitutes containing potassium without first discussing it with your healthcare provider.

What If I Take an Overdose of Lotensin HCT?

People who take too much of this medication may have overdose symptoms that can include extremely low blood pressure.
 
If you happen to overdose on Lotensin HCT, seek immediate medical attention.
