Loniten Drug Interactions

Taking other blood pressure medications, diazoxide, or cyclosporine with Loniten can cause negative interactions. Combining these and certain other drugs with Loniten may lower your blood pressure to unsafe levels or cause other adverse side effects. Before beginning treatment with Loniten, make sure your healthcare provider is aware of any other medications, vitamins, or supplements you are taking.

An Overview of Interactions With Loniten

Loniten® (minoxidil oral) may react with many other medications. Some of the drugs that may lead to Loniten interactions include but are not limited to:
 

 

 
  • Prostacyclin analogs, such as:
 
    • Epoprostenol (Flolan®, Veletri®)
    • Iloprost (Ventavis®)
    • Treprostinil (Remodulin®, Tyvaso®)
