Lisinopril 40 mg Tablets
Of the six strengths available for lisinopril, the strongest strength is the 40 mg variety. Lisinopril is a prescription medication used to treat several conditions related to the heart or blood vessels. The dosage your healthcare provider recommends will vary, based on several factors, such as your age, the medical condition being treated, other medical conditions you have, and other medications you are taking.
For example, if you have high blood pressure, the recommended starting dosage of lisinopril is 10 mg, taken once daily. Based on the blood pressure response and/or side effects of lisinopril, the dosage may be increased or decreased. Some of the possible side effects of lisinopril may include headaches, diarrhea, and dizziness.
For most people with high blood pressure, the normal daily dose is 20 mg to 40 mg tablets. Lisinopril may take up to several weeks to have its full effect on blood pressure.
