Time of Day to Take Lasix
Lasix® (furosemide) is a prescription drug approved for the treatment of high blood pressure and water retention due to various causes. It is typically taken by mouth once or twice a day, although Lasix may be taken several times a day in certain circumstances.
Because the medicine increases urination, the best time of day to take Lasix is in the morning to avoid getting up to use the bathroom throughout the night. If you take the medication multiple times per day, it is best to take the last dose of the day before 6 p.m., unless you are instructed otherwise.
In order to maintain an even level in your blood, you should try to take Lasix at the same time(s) each day. However, some people do not need to take the medicine every day, especially people taking it for fluid retention.
