Lasix and Constipation

Although most people do not experience any problems while taking
Lasix® (furosemide), this medication is not free of side effects. Lasix has been studied thoroughly in clinical trials, in which the side effects of a group of people taking the drug were documented and then compared to another group not taking the medicine.

As a result, it was possible to see what side effects occurred, how often they appeared, and how they compared to the group not taking the medicine.

In these studies on Lasix, constipation was reported as a possible side effect, although the exact percentage was not reported. However, this side effect tends to be minor and either requires no treatment or is easily treated by you or your healthcare provider.
