Isradipine has not been adequately studied in children and is not approved for their use. Be sure to talk to your child's healthcare provider about the benefits and risks of using the drug in children.
Is Isradipine Used for Off-Label Reasons?
On occasion, your healthcare provider may recommend isradipine for treating something other than high blood pressure. This is called an "off-label" use. At this time, isradipine is sometimes used off-label to treat chest pain (angina).
