Isradipine

Isradipine is a medication that is used for the treatment of high blood pressure. It is a type of calcium channel blocker that works by relaxing the blood vessels to allow better blood flow and help lower blood pressure. The capsules, which are available by prescription, are generally taken twice a day. Some of the potential side effects include dizziness, nausea, and fatigue.

Side Effects

As with any medicine, side effects are possible with isradipine.

However, not everyone who takes the drug will experience side effects. In fact, most people tolerate it quite well.

If side effects do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or can easily be treated by you or your healthcare provider. Serious side effects are less common.

Common side effects of isradipine include but are not limited to:

Headaches
Swelling or water retention (edema)
Fatigue
Dizziness
Feelings of a forcefully or rapidly beating heart (palpitations)
Flushing (redness of the skin, especially the face)
Nausea.
