Drug Interactions With Isradipine

Several medications have been shown to potentially cause drug interactions with isradipine, including cimetidine, rifamycin antibiotics, and protease inhibitors. These interactions can affect the level of isradipine in your blood, which could increase your risk of developing side effects or decrease the effectiveness of the medication. If drug interactions with isradipine are a concern, your healthcare provider may adjust your dosages or monitor you more closely.

An Overview of Drug Interactions With Isradipine

 Isradipine (Dynacirc®) can potentially interact with a number of other medicines. Some of the medicines that may lead to drug interactions with isradipine include:
 
  • Certain antibiotics or antifungals, such as:
 
    • Clarithromycin (Biaxin®)
    • Erythromycin (Ery-Tab®)
    • Isoniazid (Nydrazid®)
    • Itraconazole (Sporanox®)
    • Ketoconazole (Neoral®)
    • Miconazole
    • Telithromycin (Ketek®)
 
 
 
  • Rifamycin antibiotics, such as rifabutin (Mycobutin®), rifampin (Rifadin®), or rifapentine (Priftin®).
