Inderide Drug Interactions

Colchicine
Inderide may increase the levels of colchicine in your body, increasing your risk for serious colchicine side effects. If you take these medications together, your healthcare provider may give you a lower colchicine dosage and monitor you for side effects.

Corticosteroids
Taking corticosteroids with Inderide could cause low blood potassium levels (hypokalemia) or other electrolyte problems. If you take these medications together, your healthcare provider may monitor your blood electrolyte levels more closely.

CYP 1A2 Inhibitor Medications
The body breaks down Inderide using enzymes in the liver known as CYP 1A2 enzymes. Medications known as CYP 1A2 inhibitors can decrease the activity of these enzymes. Combining Inderide with one of these drugs may increase the level of Inderide in your blood, increasing your risk for side effects, as well as dangerously low blood pressure and a slow heart rate. Your healthcare provider may monitor you more closely if you take Inderide with a CYP 1A2 inhibitor.

CYP 2D6 Inhibitor Medications
The body breaks down Inderide using enzymes in the liver known as CYP 2D6 enzymes. Medications known as CYP 2D6 inhibitors can decrease the activity of these enzymes. Combining Inderide with one of these drugs may increase the level of Inderide in your blood, increasing your risk for side effects, as well as dangerously low blood pressure and a slow heart rate. Your healthcare provider may monitor you more closely if you take Inderide with a CYP 2D6 inhibitor.

Dabigatran
Inderide may increase the levels of dabigatran in your blood, increasing your risk for bleeding. Your healthcare provider may recommend a lower dabigatran dosage or close monitoring if you take these medications together.

Diabetes Medications
Inderide may decrease the effectiveness of medications used to treat diabetes. If you are taking a diabetes medication, your healthcare provider may monitor your blood sugar levels more closely when you first start taking Inderide or when your Inderide dosage is increased.
Digoxin
Combining Inderide with digoxin may cause a dangerously slow heart rate (bradycardia). The combination may also increase your risk for serious digoxin side effects. You may need to be monitored very closely if you take these drugs together.
