Inderal Drug Interactions

There are several drugs that can interact with Inderal, including ACE inhibitors, calcium channel blockers, and certain diabetes medicines. These interactions can alter the levels of certain drugs in your body, cause your heart rate to slow dramatically, and increase the effects of the medicines, among other things. Talk with your healthcare provider about any drug interactions that may apply to you prior to starting the drug.

 

An Overview of Drug Interactions With Inderal

 Inderal® (propranolol hydrochloride) can potentially interact with a number of other medicines. Some of the medications that can interfere with Inderal include:
 
 
 
  • Certain arrhythmia medications, including:
     
    • Amiodarone (Cordarone®)
    • Lidocaine (Xylocaine®)
    • Propafenone (Rythmol®)
