You should not take
Hyzaar if you:
- Are allergic to Hyzaar, losartan, hydrochlorothiazide, Cozaar®, or any inactive component used to make Hyzaar. Your healthcare provider or pharmacist has a list of the inactive ingredients in Hyzaar.
- Are allergic to sulfonamide-derived drugs (also referred to as sulfa drugs). This includes certain types of antibiotics, diabetes medicines, and diuretics.
- Have severe kidney disease.
- Have liver disease.
