Hydrochlorothiazide Drug InteractionsWhen medicines such as cholestyramine or other blood pressure drugs are taken together with hydrochlorothiazide, drug interactions can occur. These interactions may result in certain side effects, such as high blood sugar, extremely low blood pressure, or an electrolyte imbalance. Other medicines that may possibly lead to hydrochlorothiazide drug interactions include oral diabetes medication, barbiturates, muscle relaxants, and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
