Exforge® is a blood pressure medication that is available by prescription. It is a combination drug that contains amlodipine and valsartan. By relaxing the blood vessels, the medicine can help improve blood flow and lower blood pressure.

The medicine comes in the form of a tablet and is generally taken once a day. Potential side effects may include sore throat, dizziness, and water retention. Although most people tolerate this product well, it may not be the best choice for everyone. Before starting treatment, let your healthcare provider know if you have a medical condition such as liver disease, congestive heart failure, or kidney disease.
