Enalapril (available as Vasotec® and generic Enalapril Maleate) is a prescription drug used for treating several conditions related to the heart and blood vessels (including high blood pressure, congestive heart failure, and left ventricular dysfunction) in adults. The medicine is part of a class of drugs known as ACE inhibitors. Enalapril comes in a tablet form taken once or twice daily, with or without food. A few common side effects of enalapril include body weakness, dizziness, headache, and fatigue.
