Diovan Strengths

A healthcare provider may prescribe Diovan^® (

valsartan) to treat various conditions affecting the heart and blood vessels. Specifically, this medication is approved for treating high blood pressure and congestive heart failure. It can also help improve survival following a heart attack.

The medication comes in the form of a tablet and is typically taken once or twice a day. There are several strengths of Diovan available, including:

Diovan 40 mg
Diovan 80 mg
Diovan 160 mg
Diovan 320 mg.

Diovan may be taken with or without food. Your Diovan dosage should be taken at the same time each day to maintain an even level in your blood. For the medication to work properly, you have to take it as prescribed. Diovan will not work if you stop taking it.
