Diovan Medication Information

Diovan® (valsartan) is a prescription drug approved for several uses, such as treating high blood pressure and congestive heart failure.
You may not be able to take Diovan if you have certain medical conditions, such as kidney disease, diabetes, or gallbladder problems. Also, you may not be able to safely use Diovan if you are currently taking certain medicines (including some vitamins, herbal supplements, and non-prescription medications).
Although most people do not experience problems with this drug, Diovan can cause side effects. Some of the common side effects include fatigue, coughing, and dizziness. Diovan comes in the form of a tablet that is taken once or twice a day. Because this product is not suitable for everyone, make sure to review the prescribing information on Diovan before starting treatment with the medication.
