Some considerations for people taking Cozaar include:
Your Cozaar dosage should be taken by mouth with a glass of water.
Cozaar may be taken with or without food.
Do not break, chew, or crush the Cozaar tablets unless your healthcare provider instructs you to do so.
Make sure to take Cozaar at the same time each day to maintain even levels of Cozaar in the blood.
For Cozaar to work properly, you have to take it as prescribed. Cozaar will not work if you take in a different way than your healthcare provider has prescribed.
If you do not take your Cozaar as scheduled, take your next dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next scheduled dose, skip the missed one and continue with normal dosing. Do not take a double dose.
If you have moderate to severe liver disease, such as cirrhosis, your body may metabolize the Cozaar differently than intended. Therefore, your healthcare provider may start you on a lower dose of Cozaar and will monitor your situation more closely.
