Cardizem® CD is a prescription drug that may be used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). The medication is also used to treat chronic stable angina (chest pain). Cardizem CD is a calcium channel blocker that slows down the rate at which calcium moves into the heart and blood vessel walls. It is an extended-release capsule that only needs to be taken once daily. Common side effects include low heart rate, fatigue, cough, and dizziness.
