Bystolic Alternatives

Bystolic® (nebivolol) is a prescription drug often used for the treatment of high blood pressure in adults. It is part of a class of medicines known as beta blockers. Even though most people respond well to it, alternatives to the medication are available for those who experience side effects or do not see an improvement in their blood pressure levels.

Medications that can be used as alternatives to Bystolic include:

  • Other beta blockers
  • Diuretics
  • Angiotensin II receptor blockers (ARBs)
  • Calcium channel blockers (CCBs)
  • Angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors
  • Alpha blockers
  • Alpha-beta blockers
  • Nervous system inhibitors
  • Vasodilators.
