Twynsta Medication Information

Twynsta® (telmisartan and amlodipine) is available only by prescription and is used to treat high blood pressure in adults age 18 and older. This combination medication is not appropriate for everyone; your healthcare provider needs complete information on your medical history and what medications you are taking before prescribing Twynsta.

Although many people do not have any problems while taking this medication, Twynsta can cause side effects, such as swelling, dizziness, and back pain. Fortunately, if negative reactions do occur, they tend to be minor and easily treated.

This product comes in tablet form and is taken once a day. As a combination medication, Twynsta works to lower blood pressure by relaxing the blood vessels, improving blood flow, and making it easier for the heart to pump blood.
