Several conditions related to the heart and blood vessels can often be successfully treated with Inderal® (propranolol hydrochloride). Interestingly enough, the medication can also help prevent migraines and decrease the severity of familial or essential tremor. Its primary mechanism of action is as a beta blocker; this may be why it works for a wide range of conditions, but this is not entirely clear.
Inderal comes in tablet form and is taken two to four times a day, depending on the condition being treated and other factors. You should take this at the same times each day to keep an even level of the medication in your bloodstream.
