Edarbyclor Medication Information

EdarbyclorTM (
 azilsartan/chlorthalidone) is a medicine prescribed to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults. It combines two different blood pressure medications. The chlorthalidone component is a type of diuretic, and works by removing salt and water from the blood to help decrease blood volume. The azilsartan component works by blocking certain chemicals in the body to help relax blood vessels.
 
This medicine comes as a tablet that is taken once daily. Because Edarbyclor increases urination, it may be best to take your dose in the morning; taking it at night may cause you to have to get up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom.
