Edarbi Medication Information

EdarbiTM (azilsartan medoxomil) is available only by prescription and is used to treat high blood pressure in adults. This medication is not appropriate for everyone; make sure your healthcare provider has complete information on your medical history and what medications you are taking before starting Edarbi.

While most people do not have any problems with this medicine, Edarbi can cause side effects, such as diarrhea, nausea, and dizziness. If negative reactions do occur, they tend to be minor and easily treated.

Edarbi comes in tablet form and is typically taken once daily. As an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB), it works to lower blood pressure by blocking a certain chemical in the body and relaxing the blood vessels.
