Benicar® (
olmesartan medoxomil) is a medication often prescribed for the treatment of
high blood pressure. It comes in tablet form and is typically taken once a day, with or without food. Although there is no recommended time of day to take Benicar, you should try to take it at the same time each day. This helps to maintain even levels of the medicine in your blood.
If you do not take Benicar as scheduled, take it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for the next scheduled dose, skip the one you missed and continue with normal dosing. Do not take a double dose of this medication.
