Benicar 20 mg Tablets

 Benicar® (olmesartan medoxomil) is a medicine commonly used to help control high blood pressure. It is available by prescription only and comes in three different strengths, including:
 
  • Benicar 5 mg tablets
  • Benicar 20 mg tablets
  • Benicar 40 mg tablets.
     
The dose that your healthcare provider recommends will vary, depending on other medical conditions you may have, other drugs you are currently taking, and how you respond to Benicar.
 
Most people with high blood pressure start with 20 mg Benicar tablets (one tablet, once a day). Based on the blood pressure response and/or Benicar side effects, this amount may be increased or decreased as needed.
