AZOR Drug Interactions

When medicines such as ACE inhibitors and ARBs are taken together with AZOR, drug interactions may occur. Some of these interactions can increase your risk of developing certain side effects, such as high levels of potassium in your blood or dangerously low blood pressure. To avoid these complications, be sure to talk to your healthcare provider about possible drug interactions that may apply to you.

 

An Overview of AZOR Drug Interactions

 AZOR™ (amlodipine and olmesartan) can potentially interact with several other medications. Some of these medicines that may lead to AZOR interactions include:
 
  • ACE inhibitors, including:

 

 

 

 

  • Eplerenone (Inspra®)
  • Other blood pressure medications
  • Potassium-containing products, such as:

 

    • Potassium chloride (K-Dur®, Klor-Con®, Micro-K®)
    • Potassium citrate (Urocit-K®, Polycitra-K®)
    • Potassium gluconate
    • Potassium phosphate (Neutra-Phos-K®, K-Phos®)
    • Salt substitutes (used to flavor food)
