By affecting a certain chemical and allowing the blood vessels to relax, Avapro® (irbesartan) may help treat symptoms of several conditions involving the heart and blood vessels. Specifically, Avapro is approved to treat diabetic neuropathy and to control high blood pressure. Potential side effects of this prescription medication can include fatigue, diarrhea, and heartburn. Avapro is not suitable for everyone. Make sure your healthcare provider is aware of any other medical conditions you have, as well as any other medications you are taking before starting treatment with this medication (including vitamins and supplements).
