Avalide 300/25 Mg
The recommended starting dosage of Avalide® (irbesartan/HCTZ) for people just starting blood pressure treatment is typically one 150/2.5-mg tablet taken once a day. After one or two weeks, your healthcare provider may increase your dosage as necessary. However, your dosage will depend on several factors, such as your blood pressure, other medical conditions you may have, and other medications you are taking.
If you have already been taking one of the medications in Avalide and your blood pressure is not adequately controlled, your healthcare provider may choose to switch you to a higher Avalide dosage. However, the maximum recommended Avalide dosage is 300/25 mg once daily.
